about Mr Boo
Welcome to Mr Boo
I’m glad you’re here. Building a wardrobe can be hard and frustrating, but also rewarding. That’s why I’m writing. Maybe that’s why you’re here, too.
What Is Mr Boo?
Mr Boo is a men’s fashion blog created by Matt Adler, aiming to encourage and inspire men while providing useful product recommendations and helpful style advice so they can spend less time floundering and more time actually enjoying the process of dressing well and finding their style in the fast-evolving world of fashion.
What You’ll Find Here
Mr Boo covers everything from style fundamentals to detailed product guides:
- Product Reviews & Recommendations – From beanies to loafers, I break down the best options across different budgets
- Style Guides – How to wear and style specific pieces, like low-top sneakers or baseball caps
- Outfit Inspiration – Real, wearable outfit ideas. For example, 10 summer outfit ideas or 5 business casual outfits
- Buying Advice – What to look for, what to avoid, and how to get the most value
Whether you’re looking for a product to buy or an honest style guide, I aim to provide the best advice I can.
What Makes Mr Boo Different
Real Recommendations, Real Experience
I don’t recommend anything I wouldn’t wear myself or haven’t thoroughly researched.
Some pieces in my guides are items I own and wear. Others are products I’ve spent hours, sometimes days, researching – reading reviews, comparing specs, checking construction details, and narrowing down the ones I believe actually deserve your attention and your money.
No Fluff, Just Honest Advice
I’ve worked in fashion for eight years, so I know every trick in the book to make something sound better than it is. But I don’t do that here.
If a $50 tee isn’t worth it, I’ll tell you because that’s why I started Mr Boo in the first place, to provide honest advice and help people buy the right things.
My Approach: How I Choose What to Recommend
Here’s my process:
- Research – Some products come from my own wardrobe. Others are pieces I select after spending hours comparing options, reading user reviews, and studying construction details
- Evaluation – I assess fit, quality, versatility, and value across different price points
- Real-World Testing – For items I own, I wear them extensively before writing about them
- Honest Assessment – Every item includes pros and cons. Nothing is perfect, and you deserve to know exactly what you’re getting
Transparency
Some links on Mr Boo are affiliate links. That means I may earn a small commission if you make a purchase, at no extra cost to you. I always disclose when a piece includes affiliate links.
But here’s my deal: I only recommend products I genuinely believe in, regardless of whether there’s a commission involved. Many of my recommendations don’t have an affiliate program at all, because I can’t exclude good products just because I can’t benefit from them, right?
I also don’t accept payment for reviews or rankings. If a brand sponsors content, it will be clearly labeled. Your trust matters more to me than a quick payout.
A Few Questions You Might Have
1. Can brands collaborate with Mr Boo?
Absolutely. Use the contact page to reach out about partnerships, sponsored content, or brand collaborations. I’m always open to working with brands that align with my readers.
2. Do you offer personal styling services?
Not at the moment. Mr Boo is focused on providing accessible advice that helps as many guys as possible. You can, however, use the guides and recommendations here as a starting point for finding your personal style.
3. How often do you publish?
Mr Boo is a newly built website with only one writer, me.
Writing a thoughtful post takes time, whether it’s a product recommendation or a style guide.
On top of that, running a website means dealing with plenty of technical issues behind the scenes. So realistically, I publish 2 to 3 posts per month.
