How to Wear GQ’s 2025 Fashion Trends: 5 Fresh Outfit Ideas

Look 1: The Smart and Cozy

According to GQ, clasps are on fire in 2025, so I made this smart and cozy outfit around a clasp-front fireman jacket. It’s more for late autumn, when the air gets really chilly.
First, put on some comfy corduroy pants. On top of that, wear a crewneck cardigan. Over the cardigan, throw on a fireman clasp jacket. On your feet, slip into one of the most trending shoes in 2025, the boat shoes. To finish, add some rimless sunglasses.
This outfit is smart but also very comfortable. The different fabrics, like corduroy and wool, feel nice and warm.
Look 2: The Movie Star

GQjust released their fall fashion trends for 2025. While not every trend is for me, a few of them feel really fresh and worth paying attention to. So I came up with five outfit ideas inspired by GQ’s list, and want to share them with you.
The hero of this look is the leather jacket. GQ says leather jackets are trending this year, but honestly, when are they not? They never go out of style. What is new, though, is the cropped cut that’s big this season. So I combined the two and made this look with a cropped leather jacket.
On top, go with a white crewneck cardigan and button (or zip) it all the way up. Over the cardigan, throw on a cropped black leather jacket that hits right at your waist. On the bottom, put on a pair of high-waisted jeans. On your feet, pick a pair of torpedo sneakers. Finish the look with rimless sunglasses and minimalist silver rings.
This outfit gives off cool, confident vibes. The cropped leather jacket and high-waisted jeans make your legs look longer. The cardigan adds a soft touch to the tough look.
Look 3: Rugged Preppy

This one’s new for me. I honestly thought we left striped polos back in 2005, but GQ says they’re back. I’m not usually a polo guy, but if you are, this look is for you. I swapped the polo for a rugby shirt to handle autumn’s chill.
Start with a pair of straight-leg chinos. On top, wear a white crewneck T-shirt, then layer a striped rugby shirt over it. For your shoes, go with suede desert boots. Finish the look with a Thrasher cap.
This look feels sporty but relaxed. The rugby brings bold stripes, while the chinos keep it neat. The tee underneath adds comfort and layering, while the boots sharpen it up.
Look 4: The Cool Ranch Hand

Western vibes have been one of the biggest trends in recent years. Think boots, belts, and now, plaid flannels, according to GQ. If you’re a city folk who’s into that Western vibe, this look’s for you.
Start with a pair of washed-blue straight-fit jeans. On top, wear a thermal Henley for warmth, then layer a plaid flannel shirt over it. For shoes, go with chunky boat shoes. Finish the look with rough silver rings and a baseball cap.
This look mixes cowboy vibes with city style. The flannel and the washed jeans add a cowboy vibe. The Henley and boat shoes keep the city style.
Look 5: The Tech Guy

Windbreakers. Who would’ve thought they’d be trending? GQ says so. Honestly, though, windbreakers are one of the most versatile jackets. They are both stylish and functional. So if you want to style your windbreaker, this look’s for you.
On top, wear a T-shirt, then layer a windbreaker over it. On the bottom, go with chinos. Finish the look with slim low-top sneakers and a baseball cap.
This outfit is all about being comfy and practical. The windbreaker keeps things light and weather-ready. Chinos keep you neat and smart.
The Bottom Line
So, there you have it. Five outfits, five different vibes. From a cozy fireman jacket to a light windbreaker. Hope you enjoy wearing it as much as I enjoyed putting it together for you.
